Post subject: Add 'break' and 'title' from syntax [SOLVED]

Hi,

Can someone tell me what is the 'syntax command' to add break points (i.e. : the equivalent of '\n' ), and again, the the command to add 'titles' in an output ?

Indeed I launch many tests using the 'do--doend' command on my dataset, and I would like to add some break between these tests, just like adding some titles to split them using comments.

Thank you!

Balanin

There are several but does depend on the SPSS version. There is TITLE, ECHO & TEXT (a Python approach). The 1st 2 place the line in quotes in the viewer but not the outline, the last does both.

As far as break points, not that know of

Thank you again 'statman' your help is precious!

My version of SPSS is 13. Could you give me a syntax line code example or a website dealing with that point ?

TITLE "Your note".
ECHO "Your note".

V13 doesn't have a Python interface so just the 2 above. Also, since I haven't used V13 in awhile don't even know if the above will work so check HELP

Thank you!

I also found the way to add 'PAge Break' to my output from a script, here is the link:

The second option works perfectly!
